Take the A9 from Inverness. After Evanton take a left turn onto the B9176 heading to Bonar Bridge. At the end of the B9176 continue heading north on the A836. Almost immediately after crossing Bonar Bridge turn left to continue on the A836 heading to Lairg and Tongue. At the junction with the A838 turn left and follow the A838 through Tongue and over the causeway. Take the first right after the causeway, heading to Melness and you will arrive at Shepherd Moon after approximately two miles.
